Noor Ramadhan is an honours psychology student at UBC, focusing her research on naturalistic psychedelic use. She also works on the Clairvoyant study which is a clinical trial investigating the efficacy of psilocybin-assisted therapy for alcohol use disorders. She hopes to introduce psychedelic-assisted therapy to the Middle East and improve access to marginalized people.
Pantea Ghazanfari Moghadam
I am interested in exploring and understanding the multifaceted modes through which psychological well-being and social justice intersect. I am actively seeking to contribute to research that emphasizes Middle-Eastern communities which have been long underrepresented across fields of psychology. I am further interested in the affective and cognitive processes of
grief.

I believe it is crucial to contextualize the knowledge gained from my various Psychology courses and apply it to real-world situations. My research interests lie in the areas of Clinical Psychology and Socialization.

My experience in research has mostly been based on morals and beliefs and how these can change over time, however, my interests within the field of Psychology are more extensive. My passion for clinical and personality Psychology knows no bounds and makes its way into my everyday life. I find a lot of joy in getting to the very roots of any psychological theory.

I am an undergraduate Psychology major. I am very interested in amplifying the voices and experiences of marginalized people. I think that there needs to be more studies catering to all lived experiences to better understand the modern human experience. I am very excited to be a part of this study as I think it will lead to a more complex understanding of how mental health is affected by forced migration.
